Directed by Julien Temple and released in 2007. This intimate documentary of the late great Joe Strummer gets pretty emotional. Filled with interviews from friends and loved ones (including members of the Clash, director Jim Jarmusch & Matt Dillon) it paints a wonderful picture of Strummers many guises and relationships. We hear the best and worst parts of his character, but the overall consensus is warm and very heart felt.
A young Strummer comes accross as spiky and unforgiving. Post Clash and a period in the musical wilderness, he seemed to start over and reform bonds that he had broken in his punk heydey. A facinating piece of film making, about a true great. R.I.P Joe you are an inspiration
